National Education Consultants, Inc. (NEC) is a Jensen Beach, Florida, company that offers specialized seminars in preparation for the SAT Reasoning Test (SAT). Our mission is to help students distinguish themselves by maximizing their success on the SAT. Not only do SAT scores determine college entrance, but they also establish the award level of Florida’s Bright Futures To obtain 100% tuition and fees through Bright Futures, student must receive a combined score of 1270 on the SAT or 28 on the ACT. They can still receive 75% tuition and fees to a four-year college or 100% for community college, if they score a 970 on the SAT or a 20 on the ACT (see Free College link below).
NEC coursework, written and taught by co-owners and veteran educators, Lisa Kilian and Karen Maxwell, covers subject content and test taking skills unique to the SAT including math, critical reading and writing. Our small group seminars meet on Saturday and Sunday mornings (see Dates and Tuition)preceding each of the seven SATs throughout the academic year. Students may enroll in either or both; the Math and/or the Writing/Critical Reading course.
Professors Kilian and Maxwell hold Masters degrees in their fields, are Florida certified teachers, and have over 35 years combined teaching experience. Parents, schools, and guidance professionals may contact Professor Karen Maxwell (math) or Professor Lisa Kilian (critical reading/writing) at NEC to arrange seminars at school or off-campus locations. Private tutoring is also available.
